But a system shown by retailer Audiopathic comprising Soliloquy 5.3 speakers ($3000 CDN/pair), Talk Electonics Cyclone 1 integrated amp ($1399 CDN) and Thunder 2 CD player ($1799 CDN), IXOS and Kimber cables sounded sweet and seductive, proving once again that equipment with less stratospheric price tags can make you suspend disbelief just as readily as the expensive stuff.
