The Photo Gallery - CES 2002
For CES 2002, Soliloquy introduced five new products.
The Model 6.0: a 6.5" 2-way monitor (essentially the head of the 6.2) that fits on the same stand as the 5.0s but gets larger top and bottom
plates to accommodate its bigger footprint.
The Model C-6: a 6-driver 3.5-way reference center channel to complement the Model 6.5 - the latter's mid-hi module is flanked by twin 5.25" woofers
per side that are high-pass staggered (only the inner woofers work into the midrange, the outer ones merely augment the bass) - porting is via front-firing
slots in the wavelaunch plates.
The Model R-6: a 6-driver 3-way reference rear channel to complement the Model 6.5 and C-6 - dual mid-hi modules on the flanks of the trapezoidal
and shallow cabinet surround dual 5.25" woofers on the central baffle - porting is through front-firing slots in the central wavelaunch
plate - adjustable dispersion pattern via multiple binding post hookup options allows monopole and bi/dipolar operation.
The Model S-10C: by replacing the S-10's dual voice coil woofer with a single voice driver with higher excursion and output capabilities, the
S-10 becomes the S-10C (for Cinema) - the S-10 and S-10C use the same cabinet and amplifier.
The Model S-12: a 12-inch active subwoofer based on a 400-watt amplifier and proprietary, flat diaphragm high-output driver with massive motor
structure.
For CES 2002, Soliloquy also introduced 10 automotive lacquer options to augment the existing four real wood veneer options.

Soliloquy hosted a reference surround sound system in the Alexis Park. Two Model 6.5s flanked the massive new Model C-6 center channel, with one
S-10C next to the right 6.5. R-6 rear channels on our custom stands completed the Soliloquy Reference Home Theater System. Amplification was via
three Marsh Sound Design A400s stereo amplifiers, fed from the newly introduced Marsh H4000 preamp/tuner/processor and a Toshiba DVD-A player. Analysis
Plus provided all cabling. Power conditioning and voltage stabilization was compliments of Monster Cable. Paul Wakeen of Media
Access once again
provided Aurios MIBs.
In another Alexis Park exhibit, Soliloquy collaborated with Bel Canto Design who were introducing their new eVO2i digital integrated amplifier
in stunning new cosmetics. Our Model 6.2 proved the perfect speaker for their mid-sized second room and surprised showgoers with how deep it went,
undoubtedly aided by the excellent amplification. Cables were once again by Analysis Plus.

In the South Hall of the Convention Center, Soliloquy introduced new lacquer finishes in the form of Ferrari red, blue and off-white samples.
Soliloquy also displayed an active set-up of the Soliloquy in-wall 5.0s first shown at CEDIA 2001.

T.H.E. EXPO this year took place in the brand-new Tuscany Resort. We collaborated again with Joe Fratus of Art
Audio USA who introduced the new
Gill Signature paralleled EL-34 SET amplifier with 15wpc. Showgoers were amazed at the truly excellent sonics, bass extension and control from
such modest power. Cabling was provided by Acoustic Zen, and further electronics were the Art Audio
DM-VPS remote-controlled tube preamp, Gill
Elise 24/96 tube DAC and a Muse Model 9 DVD/CD transport, with Boltz providing one of their new anthracite racks.
Many reviewers were taking note, including Ian White of EnjoyTheMusic who is very fond of the Art Audio Diavolo.
